The Team Behind 1of10
Richard Do, Co-Founder and CEO
Richard Do ("Richard the YouTube Strategist") co-founded 1of10 in 2023. Before 1of10, Richard worked as a content strategist for MrBeast and ran an agency serving 100+ YouTubers (still operating today as 1of10's strategy division), where he identified the workflow gaps that inspired the platform. Richard hosts the 1of10 Podcast and leads our strategy team.
Riad El Otmani, Co-Founder and CTO
Riad co-founded 1of10 in 2023 and built the first version of the platform. With a background in machine learning, and software engineering, including experience at Microsoft and Thales Alenia Space, he now leads the company’s technology and engineering teams, sets its technical vision, and oversees the continued development of the 1of10 platform.
Why We Built 1of10
Before building 1of10, Richard spent years working as a YouTube strategist with some of the world’s biggest creators, developing the research and ideation processes behind successful videos. Riad brought a background in machine learning and software engineering, combined with firsthand experience building on YouTube and a deep understanding of how creators work.
From two different sides of the industry, we saw the same problem: the best YouTube teams had powerful ways to identify outliers, generate ideas, and improve titles and thumbnails, but those processes were still manual, fragmented, and difficult to scale.
Together, we built the tool we had always wanted. 1of10 combines Richard’s strategic frameworks with Riad’s technical expertise to turn those workflows into a single platform that helps creators research, ideate, and create faster.
